Individually led making inspired project during my first term of my third year at WdKA

During my first term of my third year I developed a project through a process of making. I let myself be inspired by the Theory of the Dérive, which I’d first encountered during my first year at the academy.
I didn’t just want to be inspired by this concept, but to have my work be a Dérive of itself, by itself, and upon itself- and to let others be able to Dérive through my process of making and visualisation as well.

This allowed me to create a galvanised steel frame, which due to its modular functionality, is able to be attached to various types, sizes, and forms of structures and buildings. On top of this frame I have designed modular sustainable eco panels. The moss growing on these frames does not only lessen the carbon dioxide levels in the air, but allows us to cool down cities, insulate our buildings, and make steps towards more sustainable and functional facades without demolishing our existing buildings and structures.

Next to my visuals created in Rhino & Twinmotion, I was also able to create a 1:15 scale model out of metal, with an according modular panel on top.
